Getting Here

Thanks to the S.S. Badger Lake Michigan Carferry, getting to Manitowoc is half the fun! The S.S. Badger is the largest Lake Michigan passenger car ferry and makes daily sailings between Manitowoc and Ludington, Michigan between mid-May and mid-October. The Badger can hold up to 600 people and 150 cars. Passengers on board can enjoy food and drinks, a movie theater, museum, “boatique”, indoor and outdoor seating, and Badger Bingo - a favorite activity of many aboard! You can also get to Manitowoc aboard your own boat; make plans to dock at the Manitowoc Marina. 

If you’re traveling from afar, you can fly into a nearby airport, rent a car and make the easy and quick drive to our lakeshore community.
