One of the things that Wisconsin does best is fish fries, and Manitowoc is no exception! Located right on Lake Michigan, we are crazy about our lakes, waterways, and fish. Fish fries typically come with coleslaw, fries or a choice of potato, and a slice of rye bread. For many, a Friday night fish fry is a weekly tradition – so much so that many restaurants in the area serve fish exclusively on Friday nights. Find out which fish fries you should add to your itinerary below!

The Fat Seagull

With a name like The Fat Seagull, you know they’ve got some good, nautical eats. On Friday nights, they serve perch, walleye, and shrimp. Shrimp or haddock tacos are available throughout the week, as well as perch or breaded haddock sandwiches.

Harborside

What did we just say? A nautical name is a tell-tale sign of good fish, and Harborside fits the bill! Throughout the week, Harborside serves walleye, Cajun salmon, ahi tuna, shrimp, and crab. Rotating specials change every night with new fish specials for Friday nights.

Tower Tavern

Why limit fish fries to Friday? Tower Tavern always has fried fish on the menu every day of the week! Try grilled Mahi Mahi, fill up on the double perch lunch, or stick with the classic fish and chips or fantail shrimp.

Fish fries are so popular in the area, that we aren’t done yet. For more seafood options, check out Broken Plate DinerCourthouse Pub, Friar Tuck’s, Golden Flame Family Restaurant, Green Street, Moore’s Irish Pub, and Shooter Malone’s.
