Pumpkin Palooza returns to downtown Manitowoc for the fourth year on Wednesday, October 14 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Burger Boat Park.
Visit Manitowoc’s Pumpkin Palooza is a way to engage residents in decorating Manitowoc’s downtown for Halloween. Free and open to the public, this event is an early Halloween celebration that allows attendees to show their creativity by carving and painting pumpkins, while supplies last. After the event, the decorated pumpkins will remain in downtown, particularly Burger Boat and Shipbuilders Park on both sides of the riverfront, through Halloween.
Participants can bring their own tools, and all minors should be accompanied by an adult. Limited tools, markers and paints will be available. There will be buckets and tables on site to assist with pumpkin gutting and carving.
There will once again be a carving contest! Finished pumpkins will be posted to Facebook, where likes will be the voting system. The winner will receive a pumpkin prize pack with some fun Visit Manitowoc swag and candy.
Pumpkin Palooza attendees are encouraged to dress in costume to complete the party. There will also be festive music and treats to help set the Halloween mood. Go to Visit Manitowoc’s website for complete event details.
The combination of slippery pumpkins and sharp knives can be dangerous. Sharp tools should be kept in adult hands. The City will not be liable for injuries that may be sustained during this recreational activity. Attend at your own risk.
