Visit Manitowoc, the City of Manitowoc’s Department of Tourism, is excited to announce that it will be managing the Winter Market beginning this November for the 2026-2027 season. In addition, in summer 2027, Visit Manitowoc will bring Night Markets to downtown Manitowoc. This comes on the heels of taking over management of the Manitowoc Farmers Market earlier this year.
The Winter Farmers Market and Night Markets were previously managed by Grow It Forward, and the Manitowoc Farmers Market was under the City of Manitowoc’s Community Development Department most recently in 2025. Visit Manitowoc has taken on the responsibility of these in order to provide an expanded market experience for both residents and visitors with more activities and programming. Residents and vendors will appreciate the continuity of the Double Bucks and Kids Bucks programs, while visitors can enjoy a different activation at each market in an effort to bring more people to Manitowoc each weekend. New, exciting weekly features such as the princess day, Touch the Firetrucks, and Llamas at the market, have kept attendees coming back every Saturday during the current market season.
“We are so excited to bring a renewed energy to all of our seasonal markets,” said Director of Tourism, Courtney Hansen. “With our focus on making Manitowoc a fun place to live and visit, we will elevate these markets into a more family-friendly, fun, and engaging event that everyone will want to add to their weekend itinerary.”
The Winter Market will once again be held in downtown Manitowoc at the Venue at Union Square on select November through April Saturdays from 8 am to noon. In addition to a variety of vendors selling local produce, handmade crafts, and baked goods, market management will continue to plan seasonal community events and family-friendly activities.
The Night Market will return for three nights throughout the summer in 2027. These markets will be evening farmers markets, selling fresh produce and handcrafted goods. In addition, they will feature additional family-friendly activities and bounce houses, plus food trucks. Live music will be sponsored by The Wharf Manitowoc.
