Hop into spring with the Easter Eggstravaganza at the Manitowoc Lincoln Park Zoo. This fun-filled annual event takes place the Saturday before Easter from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You can expect Easter games, activities, and concessions scattered throughout the zoo. Entry is just $1 per person, and every child will leave with a gift bag and a chance to win a prize. Proceeds benefit future zoo events, so you can feel good about joining the fun while supporting one of Manitowoc’s most beloved local attractions.

2. S.S. Badger Maiden Voyage Celebration, May 16, 2025

Mark your calendar for May 16th, when the iconic S.S. Badger Lake Michigan Car Ferry makes its triumphant return to Manitowoc. This annual voyage kicks off the sailing season in style, with the Badger arriving at the Car Ferry Dock at noon. Join hundreds of locals giving the ferry the hero's welcome it deserves, plus experience live entertainment and even an alpaca cameo from LondonDairy Alpacas.

Every year, the community comes together to honor our fallen heroes and celebrate the upcoming days of summer at Manitowoc’s Memorial Day Parade. The parade starts at 9:00 a.m. at S. 8th and Washington Streets, then winds through downtown and concludes with a ceremony at the Veteran’s Memorial. This heartwarming tradition unites the community, providing a solemn moment to reflect on the sacrifices of those who served and the enduring gratitude we hold for their bravery.

HFM Maritime Marathon

4. HFM Maritime Marathon, June 1, 2025 

Whether you’re chasing a Boston Qualifier or just looking for a scenic run along Lake Michigan, try the annual Froedtert & MCW Holy Family Memorial Maritime Marathon on June 1. With a flat, fast course designed for runners of all levels and striking views along the lakeshore from Manitowoc to Two Rivers, this race has you covered. Runners can choose from the full marathon, half marathon, or a four-person relay. Not a runner? You can still join the fun by volunteering or cheering on the runners.

Manitowoc’s largest garden and craft vendor fair is a perfect way to celebrate the season. Held rain or shine on the second Saturday in June from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., this free event in downtown's Washington Park features everything from vibrant annuals and perennials to garden art, fine crafts, and furniture. Between the unbeatable vibes, free admission, and endless ways to spruce up your yard, you won’t want to miss the Garden Faire Extraordinaire.
