Irish Pubs & Nightlife

Manitowoc is home to great bars and pubs to enjoy a pint with friends, including specifically Irish ones that are perfect for St. Patrick's Day. 

For Irish-inspired cuisine and drinks, check out Moore's Irish Pub — a hub for St. Patrick's Day festivities. Take a seat at the large wrap-around bar for a glass of whiskey or in the dining room for Irish nachos, fish fry, shepherd's pie, Irish beef stew, and more. 

Another popular bar & grill with an Irish theme, Shooter Malone's is a great pick for March. Sink your teeth into a corned beef or ham and cheese sandwich, or stick to American favorites like burgers, pizza, and chicken. Shooter's is open late-night and has pool tables and darts to make for a fun-filled evening. 

For St. Patrick's Day drinks at Manitowoc's oldest residence-turned-bar, head to the Stage Door Pub. This historic tavern features original cream-city brick, which creates the perfect cozy atmosphere for cocktails or a pint of Guinness. 

St. Patrick's Day Events

You don't need to just drink green beer or eat corned beef to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Consider attending one of these March events inspired by the lucky day! 

The Wharf Manitowoc is hosting a huge two-day St. Patrick's Day Bash on Saturday, March 16 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Each day will have green drink specials, food, and live music. Harbean, McHonzik & The Wenches play on Saturday, and Jeff and Shed Acoustic play on Sunday. Wear your best kilt and Celtic fashion to enter a contest to win a $50 Wharf gift card each day! 

If you are feeling smart, or particularly lucky, try Brick's Downtown Bar & Grill's St. Paddy's Trivia on Thursday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m.! Head upstairs to Brick's Cornerstone Lounge for a night of trivia and cocktails in the cozy, modern gathering space. 

Another popular event this time of year is The Haven's Shamrocks for Shelter St. Patrick's Day Celebration. This event takes place at Knox's Silver Valley on Saturday, March 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This event is based around their Bean Bag Tournament, but there will also be plenty of live music, great food, raffles, silent auction items, and prizes. Teams must pre-register for the tournament, but spectators are welcome to come anytime!
