Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer across the country! In Manitowoc, there are many ways to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while also kicking the summer season off on a high note along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan.

Attend Manitowoc's Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

Join in honoring those who died in service by attending the City of Manitowoc's Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony. The parade begins on Memorial Day at 9:00 a.m. on the corner of S. 8th Street and Washington Street, with the Memorial Day Ceremony to follow at the Veteran's Memorial across from Evergreen Cemetery on N. 8th Street.

Rock Out to Road Trip at The Wharf

Soak up the sun at The Wharf Manitowoc, located right along the Manitowoc River. A waterfront, open air venue with cold drinks and a full menu, The Wharf's atmosphere screams summer! Road Trip starts playing country music from the late '70s to today on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, at 2:30 p.m. and continues through 6:00 p.m.

Sip at the Sub Pub on the Water

The Sub Pub on the Water, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum's rooftop bar, is kicking off their season early with a Season Preview Night on Memorial Day from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. A family-friendly venue, The Sub Pub features both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Bring in your own food or order from one of the great restaurants in the area. You can even compete against your family and friends in a game of oversize battleship!

The Sub Pub is open every Thursday and Friday 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. throughout the rest of summer.
